Feds raid suspected pot houses
Last year, federal agents raided 66 indoor grow houses countywide, up slightly from 59 in 2006, Zeidler said. Templeton's star continues to rise as he milks the phantom serial killer story for all it's worth. The quotes, the stories, the interview subjects are just too perfect for real life. I'm sure this nags at Augustus, a veteran newspaper man, but he has nothing solid right now. I can't wait for this "bright and shiny" star to fall. What was your take on this episode? Clinton has what it takes to fix this mess
It's insane to give them tax rebates (or to keep them in place) and to not regulate such an important oligopoly is a terrible idea. Of course they are regulated, but not enough. Also, they are one of the prime beneficiaries of stability in the Middle East and it's high time that they paid for the security provided by the US Navy and other military forces. The taxes you speak of are paid by the consumer, not the oil company. These taxes are used to pay for road maintenance and is one of the more fair taxes in the books (being a direct tax after all). The more you use the road, the more you pay. Pretty simple concept. When unrest increases in OPEC nations the price of oil goes up and the oil companies profit more. The US sends in forces to reduce the tension and at great cost to Americans the tension usually reduces and oil prices drop so their profit goes down.
2006 Miss Monette Manor crowned
Staff and family members worked together with residents at Monette Manor in preparation for the Beauty Pageant held Wednesday, Aug. 9. Fourteen beautiful women competed for the title of Miss Monette Manor. Wendy Carpenter, emcee, introduced each contestant. A brief biography of each one was shared. The contestants had the opportunity to share a story or a lifetime accomplishment. Judges, Tracy Routon, Renee Uthoff and Delois Kielhorn, all agreed it was a difficult decision as all of the women were special. Contestants included Thelma M. Marret, Imogene Southard, Addie Malone, Maxine Rowley, Gladys Whitehead, Linda Bailey, Mildred Snider, Glendola Minyard, Daphne Reed, Sharon Wilson, Nellie Woodard, Norene Whiteaker, Audena Maupin, and Mary Jo Golden.
