Bell Develops Exotic Fruit Scents for Personal Care

Bell Flavors & Fragrances has incorporated the stimulating scent of exotic fruits into personal care products. Prototypes of body washes and lotions have been created that feature the aromas of the acai berry, lulo, goji berry and mangosteen. Native to South America, the acai berry is deep purple in color. The superfruit contains Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, fiber, calcium, and vitamins; and is said to have twice the level of antioxidants present in blueberries and pomegranates. The lulo is also native to South America and debuted in the U.S. when it was served as a beverage at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. The fruit has the appearance of a small orange, but when cut open has a green flesh. The goji berry is a sweet, red fruit native to Asia that has been used as a medicinal food for thousands of years.

Urban renewal: Now you're walking

And what a market smash it proved, offering Americans a sense of freedom, mobility, privacy, their own piece of turf and a yard for the kids to play. Plus plenty of jobs and profits, from autos to oil to real estate to fast food. The new form became virtually synonymous with the American Dream. Two generations of Americans knew practically nothing else.

But in the 1990s, the model began to lose some of its luster. Suburbia's big parking lots and low-density zoning meant an auto for every trip. Walking and transit were impractical. Older suburbs began to decline, inducing families to drive farther and farther to new suburban rings. Thousands of malls and shopping strips were abandoned. Traffic congestion became so severe that many families were obliged to build their lives around it.

Josh Groban's 'Noel' Stands To Mary J. Blige's Bow

Now married and drug-free, hers is a rags-to-riches story, and as a song on the album expresses, she's still a "Work in Progress." Blige has sold over 40 million albums worldwide and was recently featured on CNN's Heroes Awards. There's not much more for the Queen to conquer, but the star is still moving up, having invested in a beauty products company, Carol's Daughter, and owning her own label, Matriarch Records, distributed by Geffen Records.

Davis savors beating Hornets

Baron Davis expected to be booed, expected some venom and trash to be hurled his way as he finally returned to the city he pouted his way out of three years ago.

Asked before the game, then, if he had visited some of his pre-trade, pre-Katrina hot spots, Davis politely said no. The Warriors' guard, really under the weather, joked that he had put himself under house arrest.

"In case someone sees me on the street and tries to beat me up or something," Davis said with a laugh.

The only beat-down here was delivered by the Warriors, who continued their season-long trend of following head-scratching losses with head-turning wins like Wednesday's 116-103 triumph over the Hornets. The Warriors lost 111-107 at Houston on Tuesday.

Golden State snapped New Orleans' winning streak at nine games and denied Byron Scott, Davis' main adversary, the chance to clinch coaching duties for the Western Conference All-Star team.

Angelina Jolie's twin pregnancy

Angelina Jolie is pregnant with twins, it has been claimed.

The 'Beowulf' actress and her lover Brad Pitt discovered the happy news earlier this week and hastily cancelled their planned trip to Europe.

A source told America's Star magazine: "Brad and Angelina are absolutely ecstatic. But I still think there will be more adoptions to come."

Angelina, 32, gave birth to the couple's daughter Shiloh in May 2006 in Namibia.

The star also has three adopted children with Brad - six-year-old Cambodian son Maddox, four-year-old Vietnamese son Pax and three-year-old Ethiopian daughter Zahara.

Pregnancy rumours first surfaced earlier this month when Angelina refused alcohol at the Critics' Choice Awards and was said to be planning her work schedule around having another baby.
