I forgot what the question was," the inspector said.

"I think the question was, 'You didn't find any clues?' " Du Bois said.

"That's correct, yes," Moschetti said.

3:18 p.m. A court holiday alert: there will be no trial on Tuesday, Feb. 12 because of Lincoln's Birthday. Court will also be dark on Monday, Feb. 18 because of Washington's Birthday.

A different class

He first picked up a guitar when he was a child and was proficient before his age hit double figures. By 14, he was touring Germany and Holland with his Uncle Chuck's rock'n'roll band. Their usual guitarist couldn't make it and Hawley's father, Dave, pushed Hawley Jnr forward. Hawley Snr, however, hadn't got the full story regarding the venues they would be playing."Chuck had told them we were playing theatres," says Hawley. "The first gig was a strip club in a Dutch steel town. The joint had a revolving stage with a curtain across the middle. We played behind the curtain while the girl took her kit off in front of all the dirty old men. Then the stage would revolve and we would play some rock'n'roll to these blokes who were ignoring us. After 15 minutes, the next girl would come on and the stage would revolve again.

Bonds is indicted on five counts

Commissioner Bud Selig withheld judgment, saying, "I take this indictment very seriously and will follow its progress closely."

Former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell, who is investigating drug use in baseball, declined comment. So did Hall of Fame vice president Jeff Idelson.

Bonds finished last season with 762 career home runs, seven more than Aaron. A seven-time NL MVP, he also holds the season record with 73 home runs in 2001. He is a free agent after being told late in the season that the Giants didn't want him back next year.

Bonds was charged in the indictment with lying when he said he didn't knowingly take steroids given to him by Anderson. Bonds also is charged with lying that Anderson never injected him with steroids.

Prosecutors promised Bonds they wouldn't charge him with any drug-related counts if he testified truthfully.

Report on nutrient pollution forecasts worsening health for nation's estuaries Cape Cod to Chesapeake are the most impaired in America

While moderate to high level nutrient-related impacts were reported in systems from all coasts, the Mid-Atlantic region, stretching south from Cape Cod to the Chesapeake Bay, is the most impairedThe National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration today released a comprehensive assessment of estuarine eutrophication, or nutrient pollution, that clearly indicates linkages between upstream activities and coastal ecosystem health. The report shows that the majority of U.S. estuaries assessed are highly influenced by human-related activities and points out that eutrophication is a widespread problem globally. "Observations have confirmed that our nation’s coastal waters are stressed," said retired Navy Vice Adm.

Martin leads Devils past Hurricanes 6-1

White opened the scoring at 3:08 with a slap shot from the left point. After a stretch of 125 games without a goal, White has produced two in five games.

The Devils, in a reversal of recent form, went up by two goals on Martin's power-play tally at 5:53. In each of the previous three games, New Jersey fell behind 2-0 and went 1-1-1 in that stretch.

After Aucoin scored on a goal-mouth tip at 10:35, Oduya restored the Devils' two-goal advantage with a spectacular tally that capped an end-to-end rush. Picking up the puck behind his own net, Oduya went the length of the ice, eluding five defenders before beating Cam Ward between the pads at 15:47.

It marked the first time the Devils scored three consecutive goals from defensemen since Dec. 31, 1991.

Zubrus netted the Devils' second power-play goal of the period with 2:02 left to give New Jersey a 4-1 advantage.
